Thursday night saw us take to Covent Garden for an event that sounded as if it was made for me: cashmere and champagne with Kit & Ace and Moët. The evening began with a quick introduction to Moët (pronounced Mo-et, not Mo-ay as I’d thought), a few delicious of glasses of bubbles and then a browse around the store.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Kit & Ace, it was born in Vancouver and created for people who love to move and understand how technical clothing should perform. For people who are spoiled by the comfort and movement of gym clothes and find it hard to wear anything else. Essentially, they make great looking and beautifully made pieces of clothing that are so comfy, you feel like you’re wearing pyjamas or gym clothes.
It is quite pricey, but the pieces are made exquisitely. The pieces are made from wool, technical cashmere (that can be chucked in the washing machine) and silk blends. Some of the pieces are even moisture-wicking, meaning you won’t get soaked through on your way to work. My favourite thing? Their logo – it’s always in a different position or style, sometimes stitched into the back of a piece or embossed onto the bottom of the piece.
Kit & Ace and Moët are very similar – you have to save up a bit to get your hands on a piece, but once you do you know you’re getting great quality products and you won’t be disappointed!
A perfect pairing.
