KEW GARDENS

KEW GARDENS

If you ever find yourself in West London wondering what to do with your day, I would highly recommend going to Kew Gardens. Dom and I have been planning to go for quite a while, but never seemed to have enough time to justify going and properly exploring. If you’re ever feeling stressed, I cannot recommend spending time with nature more. The soothing sounds of water, the hypnotising way a bee moves from flower to flower and the general calm that comes when you focus on just being and enjoying the moment really do make for the perfect day.

The entry fee is £14 for an adult (if you book online) and although this may sound like a lot, there are certainly enough features to keep you busy for a couple of hours in the Gardens. From tree-top walks to the Hive and conservatories filled with tropical plants. Kew Gardens truly is somewhere you can lose yourself for an afternoon. Although it was quite busy (we went on a weekend during the summer holidays), due to the size of the Gardens it really didn’t feel busy at all!

I’ve seen that the building above lights up at Christmas, and I’ve got a sneaky feeling we’ll be back to experience that!
