Welcome to 2019, kids!
January seems to have snuck up on us while we were caught up in that whole drinker Christmas period…
I love making New Year’s Resolutions. I see them as goals – but the key (I’ve found) is to not be strict about them. This year, my resolutions are:
1. Read more
As a child, I was a proper little bookworm – I love getting stuck into a good book. Towards the end of last year, I got back into it and found a few books that I loved – so I want to continue that trend into this year. My ultimate aim is to read a minimum of 20 books this year.
2. Get blogging again
So I’m not sure if you noticed, but I’ve not been on here quite as often as I’d like to have been. My aim is to blog at least once a week.
I’d also like to mix up my blog a bit – so it’s not just fitness-focused. That way, I can share other ideas with you, from my favourite books (see resolution number 1 above), and more!
3. Be picky
This year, I promise to spend more of my time and money on the people and things I really love. For example, going out and trying a new place to eat rather than just getting a Deliveroo.
4. Reduce waste
I don’t think I’m alone in this one, but yes – I’d like to reduce my plastic waste consumption. I’ll keep you guys updated along the way, of course – sharing tips, tricks and products that I find helpful.
5. Explore more of the UK
I’m actually quite embarrassed to say that I don’t think I’ve seen nearly enough of the UK. My goal this year is to visit 3 towns or cities in the UK that I’ve not been to before. That may not sound like much, but I’m starting small.
All in all, I’ve got a pretty good feeling about this year. Last year was incredible, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt this positive heading into a new year.
